In the northernmost province of Batanes in the Philippines, policemen find themselves with plenty of idle time for they have a zero crime rate. With the peace and order situation in the province, policemen have plenty of time to spare. They are afraid that they will be relieved because they have nothing to do. Maybe they can indulge in making handicrafts which maybe an added source of income.

Yes, you are right. Police life in Batanes is quite boring in Batanes. In fact, they have this store called Honesty Store without a saleslady coz the owner is busy with household chores. You just get what you want and leave or drop your payment on the countertop receptacle:)
